Meet Our Executive Director

Dr. James Olawale Marsh, is an international HACCP/Food Safety expert, who has been in the Food and Beverage Industry for over 34 years. He is the founder and global MD of James Marsh & Associates, a food safety consulting firm that operates across four continents. Dr Marsh and his team provides consulting on food safety and quality management systems, training, auditing management systems, validating manufacturing processes, designing and implementing process control systems, Research and Development and implementing Six Sigma, since the year 2000. He is a member of the United States Food Safety Magazine Editorial Advisory Board and the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Food Safety Magazine Nigeria, the founder Consumer Watchdog group, the HACCP-Food SafetyAcademy of Nigeria and the Food Processing Magazine of Africa. He is a principal at the United National Suppliers Association of Nigeria (UNSAN). He started his career at the Pillsbury (a diago company and pioneers of HACCP) . He has worked for the United States department of Agriculture(USDA). He has also worked for Pillsbury(a Diago company and pioneers of the HACCP program),General Mills, H & H Bagels, Tyson Foods. He was a Food Safety/Regulatory Director at both Cocoa Cola company and later at Pepsi North America before he went into private practice. He is a public lecturer on the production of Safe Foods. He is also a prolific writer and teacher, and has written three books: “ a Guide to Food Safety”, “ a Guide to Plant Sanitation” and “ HACCP made easy: an expertspractical review”.

He is a member and on the advisory board of the Institute of food technology(IFT) in the United States, member of the American Association of Bioanalysts,on the advisory board of the Food Safety initiative of Nigeria and the current President of the International professional HACCP Association of Nigeria, to name a few.
